1. When starting a business you should consider what interest you and not just go with something trendy and in demand at the moment. . You should evaluate first if the supplier is not a scammer. There are several ways on how you can check a supplier. Like checking their contact information, are they a member of a trade group. You can also check their website and their customer service whether it is reliable or non-existent. Make sure that you have done all the necessary checks before placing an order.

2. Donít start with a huge inventory. If you are just starting in a business, it advisable to place a small order, first. This is rather important if it is your first time to deal with a supplier. Once you have established a good relationship with your supplier, and you have enough knowledge of how the business works, then you can consider ordering bigger quantity.

3. Donít just concentrate on running your business and making sure you make sales. As a wholesaler and business owner, it is important that you go out of your way occasionally to meet other members of the business community, not only with fellow wholesalers but also other suppliers and even customers. Establishing a good relationship with your supplier can get you to a better negotiation deals in the future. Communicating with fellow wholesalers will enable you to gain more insights and valuable information from others.
